Mission

Advancing farmers to the forefront of the coffee industry & closing the gap between coffee farmers and U.S. consumers.

“The coffee industry lacks a deep understanding of where farmers come from,
what their working conditions are like, or how they are paid”.
-Specialty Coffee Association of America

Given that specialty coffee industry actors know less about farm labor conditions than virtually any other aspect of their supply chains, they are exposed to various risks. For example, risks associated with labor abuses in their supply chains of which they may not be aware. Ignorance and/or complacency is not an excuse, which is why we promote coffee industry actors to be informed, engaged, and active participants.

Our very essence as farmers sow the foundation of our mission: advancing farmers to the forefront of the coffee industry and closing the gap between coffee farmers and U.S. consumers.

Your participation is vital so that in this globalized economy coffee farming can be a respectable source of income for farmers with dignity in Central America and beyond.
